Time with Folgas' family in Noviane (the village next to IRIS); he took us through the craziest mercado I have ever been in. I don't think white people EVER go there! Bought coconuts, rice, oil, curry powder and bay leaves; ran into some friends from the village. Ha! I love seeing my friends!
Got back to the base and had two very difficult conversations with friends I had made; culture is a hard thing to learn.

Received a word from Patricia Butsma (one of the Prophets from the Toronto movemet): "God is shaping me into someone who loves the way He loves. He knows I am someone who will "GO;" but He wants me to soak in His love." ...Alright; I receive that!
Then went to Folgas' house for lunch; amazing curry and coconut rice. Sang lots of songs, played games, played cards, danced! Loved it!

Met with Suzette again for some time to chat and read the bible. Came back and a woman who comes to clean sometimes, wanted to bless me and braided my hair! She then invited me to her house to meet her husband and baby. Her husband is attending driving school, he wants to be a driver and make money to support his family. Both of them are about 19 years old. Stopped in to see some of my friends at the other base; some of Heidi's adopted children. Came back about noon to eat lunch and go to the jail.
I gave my testimony to a group of about 30 male prisoners and 5 female prisoners. The inmates sleep on grassmats on the floor. The men poured out of the cells, shook our hands, sang some songs, then sat down and listed to us share. They are so honoring, and gracious. We prayed for some who wanted to receive Christ, others we prayed for who were in pain or sick. Many were healed, lots were encouraged.
Came back to celebrate Mozambican Independance day! YAY for chicken! :) Had a prayer night with lots of worship and forgiveness ceremony between Russia, US, UK and all of the tribes of Mozambique for the blood shed, civil war and slavery. It was beautiful!

Church was AWESOME! Danced with little Elliot, sat with Folgas' mama. Then went to Filipe's house. Filipe is the head cook in the kitchen. He has several children, but his youngest who is 7 months old, Nataniel, is sick; so he invited us over to pray for him. Filipe, his wife and children met us with big smiles, and hugs. We went in and prayed for Nataniel, who was very sick with a respiratory infection. We didn't see any immediate signs, however, the family was so very grateful that we came to visit. We went outside to sit under their beautiful almond tree. Filipe and his wife came out with Fantas and Cokes, as his children prepared beans and sheema. So sweet! As we sat there eating, Filipe proudly brought me the three books he owns; a map book of Mozambique, a bible in portuguese and a bible in makua. We went through all of Mozambique and talked about what they have from agriculture here and what it looks like at home.
After eating, Filipe brought me out the medicine they had bought for Nataniel. He was so sweet; the directions for the medicine were in English so he didn't know how to administer it; I sat there for almost 40 minutes trying to explain in portuguese how to administer the medicine. He is such an amazing dad and husband.
Upon returning home, I checked with a nurse who lives with me; I had totally told Filipe the wrong dossage! AH!

Watched the world cup with the boys in the kitchen with Mama Linda on tiny little tv with bunny ears! Awesome! ...Filipe found me with bread in his hand. "Nataniel is normal!" He exclaimed!!! YAY! God totally healed Nataniel despite my wrong instructions; thank you Jesus that everything I do is covered in your grace! YAY God!

After school, went to the beach with my boys...they covered me in sand and undid my braids! God bless em! :) That would have been a ton of work...and they just loved it!
